Cyclocross race – set course through which racers complete as many laps as possible in a set amount of time. One unique component of Cyclocross is that racers must dismount bicycles at certain parts of the course. Fat Tire Duathlon – Mountain Bike race and a Cross Country run make up the two parts of this challenging, muddy duathlon! 5K Cross Country Race – 5K running races are fast, fun and challenging! The 5K of the Virginia Beach Winter Endurance Challenge lives up to all three descriptions! Join one event and compete and have a great time! Join all three and receive a special participation medal! ECSC is North America’s Oldest running surfing competition and the second oldest continuously-run surfing contest in the world. More than 100 of the world’s top professional surfers, male and female, and an estimated 300 amateur surfers will travel to Virginia Beach to “ride the curl” at the Oceanfront and compete for combined cash prizes of $15,000. |

The Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon starts at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, runs through the scenic Virginia Beach oceanfront and finishes on the spectacular oceanfront boardwalk. Participants will be treated to 14 stages along the 13.1-mile course, featuring 20 local bands as well as 16 local high school cheerleading squads spaced approximately every mile. |
